The largest of all the Latin American countries, Brazil covers nearly half the entire continent of South America. The Amazon River, running across the entire width of Brazil, is the world's largest river in terms of volume. As it thunders towards the Atlantic Ocean, the Amazon passes through the largest rainforest in the world, many tracts of which are still unexplored and home to the greatest number of biological organisms on earth. Further south are the Iguazu falls, the most voluminous waterfalls in the world. Lying on the borders of Brazil and Argentina, the colossal cascades are perhaps the most amazing site on the continent.

Breakfast and departure to your next adventure at Bom Jardim at Nobres (60 km).
Nobres, the village of BOM JARDIM, is 130 km / 80.77 mi away. North East Cuiaba is set at an important concentration of calcareous terrain, perfect for the formation of caves and grottos and a small mountain range called the “Tombador Complex”, remarkable scenery of rolling valleys and tableland. The Tombador is famous for a series of crisscrossing cave systems while at the surface, the Savanna and Amazonian Rainforest ecosystems meet. Nobres, just like Bonito (in Mato Grosso do Sul State), is the land of many crystal clear water rivers, lakes and caverns, the habitat of several species of fish and plants. Snorkeling and caving here are outstanding experiences.
Arrival at Reino Encantado Lodge. You will pick-up your equipment for the activities of the day:
1 km trail to the Enchanted Aquarium and Salobra River.

Enchanted Aquarium: one of the sources of Salobra River – snorkeling among the fish (several species and colours) in a 6 m / 19.6 ft. deep pool.

Salobra River: a 500 m / 0.31 mi snorkeling experience on the river

Return to Reino Encantado Lodge for lunch.

After dinner, it is time for an unforgettable night walk under the Southern Hemisphere sky.

Day 6: PANTANAL - Canoeing and trekking (All meals)

Today after breakfast in the lodge, take a photo safari through private dirt roads towards the Clarinho River. Reaching its banks, we will board a canoe and paddle down the river, exploring the forest that grows by the riverbank and mangroves. Here live a colony of “ariranhas” – giant river otters. You will also have the chance of fishing the elusive piranha, though not an easy task. Piranhas are famous for biting off the bait without the fisherman feeling it on the line. The “lambaris” are easier to catch and will be barbecued for lunch.*
In the afternoon, trek the Howler Monkey trail to the Howler Monkey Tower, our highest observation point – 25 m high -, for a magnificent view of the sunset. After dinner, join a night drive in search of nocturnal animals.
*If the Sentinela Camp is not accessible (depending on the weather and terrain conditions), this canoeing tour will take place on the Corixo River. In that case, we will return to the lodge for lunch.

Day 7: PANTANAL - Horseback riding and trekking (All meals)

Today will be a very active day. After breakfast, enjoy a horseback ride, which will allow you to explore otherwise inaccessible flooded areas of the Pantanal plain. The Pantaneiro horse is docile and has adapted, through the centuries, to breathe while eating with its nose under the water. In this region, the horse is the Pantaneiro’s best friend, a daily companion during work and leisure. Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, trek the Rondon Trail towards the 13 m high Jabiru Stork Tower, where you can watch a Jabiru Stork nest. Return to Araras Eco Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today on your last day we will wake up early in the morning to witness the awakening of the Pantanal at dawn. Breakfast and return to Cuiaba (132 km).
